This book chronicled design research conducted during 2013–2015 at VCU. It contained several projects which illustrated discoveries and threads of ideas; these ideas in turn informed a thesis argument and the making of a final MFA installation.

Projects included in the book were Emulsify 2, Open/Close, experiments in Processing, and more.
