o-p-e-n was a publication put together by the 2015 graduate cohort at VCU. The book was a collection of projects from artist and designer graduate students, professors, and professionals in the field. o-p-e-n received entries from the United States, the Netherlands, Germany, Greece, and more.

The website was a key recruiting tool in gathering participants and disseminating information about the project, and was hand-coded in HTML and CSS. A tubmlr theme was also adjusted to appear like the official website.

All of the submitted projects centered around various interpretations of the idea "open" and were organized into different categories. These categories became sections within the publication.
