A typographic poster for designer and educator Erik Brandt's Objects+Methods lecture at VCU. During an interview with one of Mr. Brandt's former colleagues, it was mentioned that Mr. Brand enjoyed working on his car and it needed a new gasket.
The gasket for his car's engine was illustrated as a fragmented shape in the background. The exploded typography is based on the grid created by the broken gasket.

A typographic poster for Yonatan Gat's Los Angeles show. Gat's music is epic and wild; simultaneously minimalistic and over-the-top. The songs have structure, but it can often be hard for the listener to find. Atop this structure are erratic guitar movements and snare hits that feel improvised (but are actually meticulously planned).

Wavelength Warp is a conceptual 3-day concert and exhibition celebrating the use of pedals, effects, and stompboxes in contemporary music.
The typographic poster for the event utilized warping effects and bright, electric colors to evoke the ideas of distortion and modulation.
Poster design, sketches, and final installation
The NAU Art Museum exhibition Suitable Illusions displayed the work of the contemporary surrealist painter Adrian Hatfield. The artwork featured on the three posters are actually cropped areas of a single painting by Hatfield.

These posters for BUTEX were designed to help inspire students to consider traveling abroad. I designed and wrote the copy for each poster.
